Let's look at the major things that happened:

1. First, Lazarus was from Bethany with Mary and Martha, who was the same Mary that anointed Jesus with oil. The sisters sent a message to Lord Jesus saying, "The one whom you loved is sick." Jesus, upon hearing that, said in John 11:4:

"This ailment is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it."

Whenever something bad is happening, do not be discouraged—it is for the glory of God.
